Steel trusses and space frames, trial-assembled before they ship

A truss is only as good as its nodes and splices. We assemble long trusses in the yard, check camber and supports, then split them for transport. Space frames are checked against the measured deflection limits of JGJ 7.

Ask for tube wall thickness and bolt engagement checks in the ITP; both are where low bids cut corners.

Why we assemble trusses before shipping

Pipe intersections, splices and bearings must meet within millimetres on site. A misfit found in the yard costs a day; on site it costs a crane week.

Transport

Splitting trusses for shipping

40HQ container

Pieces up to about 11.8 m long, 2.3 m wide, 2.5 m high.

Flat rack

Wider or over-height pieces up to about 12 m.

Break-bulk

Very long or heavy trusses as loose cargo.

Splice where it is cheap. A bolted splice at a low-force point costs less than shipping one long piece break-bulk.
FAQ

Truss questions

Not answered here? Ask an engineer.

Do you design trusses?

Yes, as a scheme with calculations for local review, or we fabricate to your engineer’s design and add connection design.

By CNC pipe profiling, so saddle cuts fit without hand grinding.

It is a line item, so you can decide where it is worth it.

Yes, with purlins on the upper nodes and sheet or panel roofing.
