Agricultural steel buildings, from livestock barns to 74 m greenhouses
Farm buildings live in humidity, ammonia and fertiliser dust, often with little maintenance. Galvanized steel, sealed details and identical repeating frames keep them standing and cheap to extend.
Long-span steel and membrane structures with solar roofs. Spans to 74 m.
Livestock barns
Poultry, dairy and pig houses with ventilation openings and galvanized frames.
Crop and machinery sheds
Portal frames for storage, packing and machinery.
Design loads
Loads farm buyers often leave out

Why it matters
Crop and growing system loads
Greenhouses
Hanging crops, gutters and screens hang from the trusses; EN 13031-1 covers greenhouse design
Equipment hung from roof
Barns, greenhouses
Fans, feed lines, heating pipes, irrigation booms
Solar PV on roof
All
Panel weight and wind uplift; must be in the scheme
Stored crop against walls
Crop sheds
Potatoes or grain in bulk push on walls like a grain store
Animal impact
Barns
Column guards and wall kicker rails at animal height

Details that matter on farms
Ammonia and moisture corrode. Livestock houses are humid and ammonia-laden. We galvanize to ISO 1461 and avoid closed pockets where manure water collects.
Ventilation sets the frame. Ridge vents, side curtains and fan walls need framed openings from the start.
Repeat the bay. Identical frames cut cost and let you add bays later with the same parts.
