Logistics · 30–60 m spans
Distribution centres and cold stores with portal or truss roofs and mezzanine offices.
Build-to-print steelwork, mezzanine floors and truss floor deck for Australian builders and EPC contractors. Fabricated to AS 4100 and AS/NZS 5131, welded to AS/NZS 1554, shipped from Shenzhen to every east-coast port and Fremantle in 12–15 days.
Australian fabrication shops are busy and labour rates are high. For packages above 50 t, many builders split the work: local shops keep site-sensitive items and short-notice changes, and a Chinese fabricator supplies the bulk columns, rafters, trusses and floor steel. That split typically lowers the delivered steel cost by 20–35% compared with a full local package, depending on complexity and freight.
The risk buyers worry about is compliance, not price. We detail in Tekla to AS 4100 connection rules, run welders and procedures qualified to AS/NZS 1554.1, and issue an inspection and test plan against the AS/NZS 5131 construction category you specify. Every heat comes with an EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate, and third-party inspection at our yard is welcome before the container is sealed.
Mezzanine floors are a common entry order. Our patented truss floor deck needs no props, spans between secondary beams and arrives with the beams, stairs and handrails in the same shipment.
Your engineer of record designs to Australian Standards. We detail, fabricate, test and document to the same standards so the steel passes the builder’s and certifier’s checks on arrival.
| Topic | Australia requirement | How we deliver |
|---|---|---|
| Design of steel structures | AS 4100 | Connections detailed to AS 4100 or to the designer’s connection schedule; calculations on request |
| Fabrication & erection | AS/NZS 5131, CC2 typical, CC3 for heavy or fatigue-loaded | ITP per construction category, dimensional records per piece |
| Welding | AS/NZS 1554.1 GP / SP | Qualified WPS/PQR, 100% UT on CJP welds, MT on fillets by sampling |
| Steel material | AS/NZS 3678, 3679.1; ACRS certification often specified | EN 10204 3.1 MTCs per heat; ACRS-certified mill route or independent re-testing agreed at tender |
| Loads | AS/NZS 1170.0 / .1 / .2 (wind), regions C and D cyclonic in the north | Design inputs taken from your drawings; we do not alter load assumptions |
| Corrosion protection | AS 4312 corrosivity, AS/NZS 2312.1 / .2 | Sa2.5 blast, zinc-rich systems or hot-dip galvanizing to AS/NZS 4680 |
| Bolting | AS/NZS 1252 high-strength bolt assemblies | Bolts sourced to AS/NZS 1252 or supplied by the erector, agreed per project |
Code references are typical for commercial and industrial work. The project specification always governs.
Australia is the longest of our regular Asia-Pacific routes and the most frequently served. Direct and one-stop services run weekly from Shekou, Yantian and Nansha.
| Port of loading | Port of discharge | Transit (days) | Typical mode |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shenzhen (Shekou / Yantian) | Brisbane | 12–13 | 40HQ / flat-rack |
| Shenzhen (Yantian) | Sydney (Port Botany) | 13–14 | 40HQ / flat-rack |

Transit times are typical port-to-port sailing times and vary with carrier, transshipment and season. Confirmed per booking in our quotation.
Members up to 11.8 m, typically 22–26 t per box for floor steel and rafters. Best for warehouses and mezzanines.
Long trusses, columns to 24 m and heavy girders. Booked on multipurpose vessels into Melbourne and Fremantle.
Steel dunnage or ISPM 15 heat-treated timber, clean surfaces and declarations prepared for DAFF inspection.
Packing rules, 40HQ loading plans and break-bulk limits are covered in our 40HQ container steel loading guide and on the quality, NDT and shipping page.
Most Australian enquiries are warehouses, mezzanine floors and build-to-print packages for local builders who keep erection in-house.
Distribution centres and cold stores with portal or truss roofs and mezzanine offices.
Columns, transfer girders and trusses detailed and made to your AS 4100 drawings.
Composite floor steel, box columns and transfer structures for mid-rise buildings.
Single-storey warehouses typically use 32–45 kg/m². A 2,000 m² mezzanine with truss deck, secondary beams and stairs is often 55–70 kg/m² including supports. Indicative FOB prices sit around USD 1,100–1,800/t depending on complexity, confirmed per quotation.
We supply fabricated, coated and documented steel. Erection stays with your Australian erector, who holds the local licences and site safety obligations.
Steel delivered on board, export-cleared, with packing lists, loading plans and MTCs. You or your forwarder control freight and insurance.
Freight and marine insurance to the discharge port of your choice. Customs clearance, DAFF inspection and delivery to site stay with your broker.
Our erection supervisor can attend first lifts, bolt tensioning and survey checks. Erection crews are your local contractor; we do not undertake civil works.
Long-span frame for an automated warehouse, the same building type as most Australian DC enquiries.
Longgang Central Hospital: 700 t roof truss installed by hydraulic lifting.
Multi-cavity mega columns and outriggers, the upper end of our fabrication range.
Our engineers work with AS 4100 drawings every week and reply within 24 hours.
Yes. We detail and fabricate to your AS 4100 design and issue an inspection and test plan against the AS/NZS 5131 construction category in the specification, usually CC2. Welding is to AS/NZS 1554.1 with 100% UT on complete-penetration welds.
We confirm the mill route at tender. If the specified ACRS-certified source is not available for your sections, we propose EN 10204 3.1 certificates plus independent re-testing, accepted by your engineer before fabrication. We never substitute without written approval.
Sailing from Shenzhen or Guangzhou takes 12–15 days to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, and about 15 days to Fremantle. Add 25–40 days of fabrication after shop drawing approval.
