01Why South China

Volume and lead time for Vision 2030 industrial programs

Saudi Arabia is building industrial cities, logistics zones and giga-project support facilities at the same time. Demand for warehouses, process buildings, workshops and long-span roofs regularly exceeds what regional fabricators can deliver on program.

Our group-wide capacity of up to 300,000 t per year across 8 bases lets us run a large package in parallel lines, typically 25–40 days after shop drawing approval. Red Sea sailings reach Jeddah in about 16 days; Gulf sailings reach Dammam and Jubail in about 20.

Local content matters on many Saudi tenders. Contractors commonly source primary steel internationally and keep secondary fabrication, cladding and erection in-Kingdom. We quote either the full frame or only the heavy and long-span members.

  • Designs to SBC 306 and SBC 301 loads detailed in Tekla
  • Sand and heat considered in coating selection and storage advice
  • Documents prepared for SASO conformity: MTCs, test reports, packing lists
  • Long-span roofs up to 74 m for logistics and process halls

Designing and fabricating to Saudi Arabia requirements

The Saudi Building Code (SBC) is mandatory for buildings in the Kingdom. SBC 306 covers steel structures and is based on AISC 360, with loads from SBC 301. Your designer signs the design; we fabricate to it.

SASO / SABER: imported products need conformity certificates issued through the SABER platform. The importer of record registers the shipment; we supply the commercial invoice, packing lists, MTCs and test reports your conformity body asks for, and we check the HS classification with your broker before shipping.
