Structural Steel Supplier for the Philippines, About 3 Days from Shenzhen
Heavy and light structural steel for Philippine developers, contractors and PEZA locators. Fabricated to NSCP 2015 drawings for Zone 4 seismic and typhoon wind loads, shipped to Manila in about 3 days and to Cebu or Davao in 4–5.
The closest heavy-steel supply base to Luzon and the Visayas
Manila is closer to Shenzhen by sea than most Philippine islands are to each other by road. With a 3-day sailing, steel fabricated in Guangdong arrives faster than many locally rolled sections can be sourced, and in sizes Philippine shops rarely make: built-up box columns, heavy plate girders and long-span trusses.
Local fabrication capacity is concentrated in Metro Manila and CALABARZON and is often booked by large infrastructure work. For warehouses, factories in economic zones and mid-rise commercial frames, importing the primary steel and keeping local crews for erection is a common model.
The Philippines sits in a high-seismic, typhoon-exposed zone. NSCP 2015 follows AISC 360 and AISC 341 for seismic systems, so moment connections, demand-critical welds and protected zones need fabricators who understand the detailing. Our welding and NDT records are built for that review.
- Demand-critical CJP welds 100% ultrasonically tested and recorded
- Grades Q355B/C, equivalent to ASTM A572 Gr.50, with 3.1 MTCs
- Coating for C4/C5 coastal exposure, hot-dip galvanizing for purlins and girts
- Installation crews available through our sister company PT Xianghe
Designing and fabricating to the Philippines requirements
Philippine projects are permitted by the local building official under the National Building Code (PD 1096) and designed to NSCP 2015. Your structural engineer signs the design; we fabricate to it and document compliance.
| Topic | the Philippines requirement | How we deliver |
|---|---|---|
| Structural design | NSCP 2015 Vol. 1, Chapter 5 (steel) based on AISC 360 | Connections to AISC 360 or to your engineer’s details |
| Seismic systems | NSCP 2015 Section 208 / AISC 341, Zone 4 for most of the country | SMF / SCBF detailing, demand-critical welds identified on shop drawings |
| Wind loads | NSCP 2015 Section 207, high basic wind speeds in typhoon belts | Design inputs from your drawings; cladding fixings and purlin laps detailed accordingly |
| Welding | AWS D1.1 / D1.8 commonly specified | Qualified WPS/PQR, 100% UT on CJP welds, MT on fillets by sampling |
| Steel material | ASTM A36 / A572 Gr.50 or PNS equivalents | Q235B / Q355B with EN 10204 3.1 MTCs; third-party testing on request |
| Imports | Bureau of Customs; DTI-BPS rules apply to certain steel products | Commercial invoice, packing lists and MTCs prepared for your broker; product coverage checked at quotation |
| Corrosion | Project specification, ISO 12944 C4–C5 near the coast | Sa2.5 blast, epoxy zinc-rich systems or hot-dip galvanizing |

From Shenzhen and Guangzhou to Manila, Subic, Batangas, Cebu and Davao
Short sailings mean we can ship by phase. Many Philippine clients take columns and primary steel first, then roof steel and deck a week later.
| Port of loading | Port of discharge | Transit (days) | Typical mode |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shenzhen (Shekou / Yantian) | Manila (MICT / South Harbor) | 2–3 | 40HQ |
| Guangzhou (Nansha) | Subic Bay | 3 | 40HQ / break-bulk |
| Shenzhen (Shekou) | Batangas | 3–4 | 40HQ |
| Shenzhen (Yantian) | Cebu | 4–5 | 40HQ, often via Manila |
| Guangzhou (Nansha) | Davao | 5–6 | 40HQ, often via Manila |
Transit times are typical port-to-port sailing times and vary with carrier, transshipment and season. Confirmed per booking in our quotation.
Phased containers
Ship per erection zone. Each container packed with the members needed for the next lift sequence.
Break-bulk to Subic
Long trusses and heavy girders on multipurpose vessels, convenient for Clark and Central Luzon sites.
Fast replacements
A missing or damaged member can be remade and landed in Manila within about 10 days.
Packing rules, 40HQ loading plans and break-bulk limits are covered in our 40HQ container steel loading guide and on the quality, NDT and shipping page.
What we commonly supply for the Philippines projects
Our Philippine enquiries cluster around logistics, economic-zone factories and mid-rise commercial buildings in Metro Manila, Clark and Cebu.
Factories with crane runways for manufacturers in economic zones.
Box columns and composite floors for offices, malls and BPO buildings.
Members and systems most often ordered
- H-Beams & Plate Girders: welded H-sections and tapered rafters for warehouse portals
- Welded Box Columns & Beams: box columns for seismic moment frames
- Truss Floor Deck & Mezzanine: faster floors for mid-rise buildings without formwork props
- Purlins, Stairs & Platforms: galvanized purlins, girts, stairs and platforms
Typical steel consumption
Warehouses typically use 32–45 kg/m²; seismic and typhoon loads push many Philippine buildings to the upper end. Multi-storey and industrial frames are usually 55–95 kg/m². Indicative FOB price is USD 1,100–1,800/t depending on complexity.
Clear scope: what we deliver and where our responsibility ends

Questions Philippine buyers ask
Send your NSCP drawings and we return a BOM and FOB Manila-ready price within 24 hours.
Other markets we ship to
How long does steel take from China to Manila?
Sailing from Shenzhen to Manila takes about 3 days, Cebu and Davao 4–6 days. Fabrication takes 25–40 days after shop drawing approval, so a typical warehouse frame lands about 5–7 weeks after approval.
Can you fabricate to NSCP 2015?
Yes. NSCP 2015 steel design is based on AISC 360 and AISC 341, which we detail to routinely. Seismic moment connections and demand-critical welds are marked on the shop drawings and 100% UT tested.
Do you install steel in the Philippines?
Yes, through PT Pemasangan Baja Struktur Xianghe, our group’s Southeast Asia installation company. We supply crews and supervisors; foundations, permits and civil works stay with your local contractor.
What coating do you recommend for coastal sites?
For C4–C5 coastal exposure we typically use Sa2.5 blasting, epoxy zinc-rich primer, epoxy MIO intermediate and a polyurethane topcoat at 240–320 µm total DFT, or hot-dip galvanizing for secondary steel.
What is the minimum order?
From 50 t of structural steel or 2,000 m² of building area. Smaller items such as stairs or platforms can be added to a larger shipment.
